The 3rd annual Boston Teen Author Festival will be taking place this Saturday, September 27 from 11-4 at the Cambridge Public Library. To kickoff the event, there will be a course focusing on what gives a writing piece a voice, open to all writers. GrubStreet, a creative writing center, will be offering a 6-week Teen Writing Camp focusing on fiction and personal essays for young authors ages 13-18. The sessions will take place on Fridays from 4-6 beginning October 3. Maximum enrollment is 10 students, so don’t hesitate if you are interested! GrubStreet’s Young Adult Writers Program (YAWP) offers free Saturday sessions with creative writing workshops once a month during the fall. The next session will take place on Saturday, October 25, and students can choose from one of three classes, each from 12-3:30, and an open mic reading until 4.
